Electrical : International certification agreements
Recognition of Certification Bodies is an important factor in the differentiation of their certification services that allows adding value to the products they certify, with all the resulting benefits for manufacturers.
At the International level CERTIF is
- The national member of IECEE, representing Portugal
- Certification body recognized in the scopes of CB-Scheme and CB-FCS of IECEE
CB-Scheme
CB Scheme allows the mutual recognition of test reports carried out on products, in accordance with international standards (IEC) through the issue of a CB certificate by CERTIF.
Certificates issued under the CB Scheme, are a passport to the placement of the electrical equipment in the international market, according to the following principle:
“One product, one test, a mark… many marks"
With a CB Certificate issued by CERTIF manufacturer may ask for a conformity mark over the world without repeating tests.
CB-FCS
CB-FCS is a multilateral agreement between certification bodies for recognition of test results and audits to obtain other marks of conformity.
Those certificates are issued based on test reports of products and on audits to the quality system implemented in the manufacture, and that have been certified by CERTIF according to international standards (IEC).
Certificates issued under the CB-FCS, are a passport to the placement of the electrical equipment in the international market, according to the following principle:
"One test, one audit, one CB-FCS plus CERTIF Certified Product Mark ... many marks"
With a CB-FCS certificate manufacturer may ask for a conformity mark all over the world, since the certification bodies of these country is also member of CB-FCS scheme.
